On August 22, 2006, while riding
in a bicycle ride to honor the fallen heroes of Indiana, Indiana
State Trooper Gary Dudley and Lake County Sheriff's Department
Chief Gary Martin answered their final call. Into the seventh
day of their annual ride their support vehicle was struck from
behind on SR 63 just north of Perrysville, Indiana, and the
collision shoved the support vehicle into the riders killing
Gary and Gary and injuring retired Indianapolis Police
Department Officer Spencer Moore, and the driver of the support
vehicle "Rocky" Bumpas. Please keep everyone in your thoughts
and prayers as they deal with this tragic loss.
